Our happiness depends on our reactions.
Life in general is full of stress. It is not the event but our reaction to the event that is key to our well-being. #EGBOK

It's OK to be a little afraid...
Just because it’s scary doesn’t mean it’s a wrong decision. Life’s full of changes, and even those changes you welcome often come with mixed emotions and self-doubt. That’s OK. It’s OK to be afraid. You’ll get through it; you’ll survive. Trust your gut that whatever decision you made or are about to make is the right one for this point in your life....

Put out positive energy, and you’ll get that in return. It will help to open doors for you (even if you don’t know when or for what)! -EGBOK

Just ask for it.
Sometimes all that’s needed is to ask for what you want. You might have to plan what you want to say, rehearse it, prepare for questions, etc., but why not just ask? The answer might be “no”, but it also might be a “yes” or at least a “maybe”. You will have at the minimum challenged yourself and moved a bit forward…just with the action of asking. ...

Knowing when...
You’re never going to know exactly when something you’ve been wanting for a long time is going to happen (a new job, grad school, a move to another city, your first book, etc), but I believe that when it is the right time, you will know it and thus, it will be easy (or at least easier) to make that transition and take that next step forward. Good luck to anyone who wants to make a...

EGBOK + Reframing
I wanted an outlet, and I thought that writing would be helpful as I enter a new chapter in my life. Well, funny thing is, I’m not taking advantage as much as I should be. I always feel that some weight has been lifted off my shoulders after writing, so why don’t I do it more often?? As long as I’m doing it, even if it’s not often, I’m still doing it, and for what...

Creating your own path...
I just loved this blog post from John Mayer.  Reminds me of EGBOK: because it really will be OK.  No one has the right answer — even if you think they might or they are your mentor.  It’s up to you to create your own future and one that you are happy with.  Sure, it will take guts, but it will be so worth it in the end.  jhnmyr: I’m not sure if it’s a function of advancing age or...

Finally I write!
Starting this blog was part of my New Year’s resolution, and here we are already more than half-ways through March, and I have not written a single post.  That’s changing today, and more specifically, RIGHT NOW!  Hooray!  So, I’ll be writing more often and about things related to EGBOK: Everything’s Going to Be OK!  My mother used to always tell me this, and she still...
